Mission Report: Red Feather Lakes

Teams are in the field again today recovering vehicles before the next storm moves in! We also recovered a Durango on Valentines Day that was stuck in the snow north of Red Feather Lakes. 60 mph winds and a fresh foot of snow had the vehicle almost drifted over on the driver side.

Be careful out there, have a means to self recover, have survival gear with you… spare clothing, food, water, fuel. This owner was evac’d by Larimer County Search and Rescue after spending the night in the vehicle. It had to run all night and the heat from the exhaust and engine completely froze it down.
