Mission Reports: Deeeeeep Snow

There’s a certain type of offroader that loves 4 tire chained up deep snow wheeling…sometimes more so than summer dirt wheeling. The thrill of pushing it with the bumper, grill, and maybe even having some of it spill over the hood! It’s a rush!

However, part of our responsibility as members of the Colorado 4×4 community is to wheel respectfully and responsibly. We all know a major winter storm is about to hit the front range and central/north mountains this weekend. The best thing we can do for our first responders and greater Colorado community is to be prepared, stay home, and not become part of the problem. Rescue teams may not be able to reach you in a timely manner, if at all this weekend.

If you do not absolutely have to venture out in this storm and its immediate aftermath, and you are not part of the organized management and response to the immediate emergency, please heed the advice of staying put and enjoying time with family this weekend.

There will be plenty of opportunity in the coming weeks to experience the back county snow wheeling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, etc!
