Mission Reports: Muddy Creek Range Rover

Also occurring on March 21st, another team from Colorado 4×4 Rescue and Recovery went up Muddy Creek Road 700, just north of Wolcott, CO, to help recover a Range Rover that slid off the side of the trail and ended up partially in a small pond along the road.

The vehicle owner did NOT intentionally drive into this small pond, but attempts to self recover back onto the road kept having the vehicle slide further down, ultimately making its way partially into the water.

The team made quick work of winching the vehicle back onto the trail with some assistance of traction boards (or max traxs) and got them on their way.

From where the vehicle was stuck to a main road was only a few hundred feet, so the drive off the side trail was very quick.
